Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban have been the center of divorce rumors once again. This time around, it was allegedly due to Urban missing out the red carpet events of his wife.
Kidman's new movie The Goldfinch, recently, had a red carpet premiere and many took notice that the actress' husband has failed to escort her to the event. Speculations started to circulate that the couple could be heading to a divorce.
Woman's Day alleged that Urban has purposely skipped out some events where Kidman has to appear to promote her new movie because he wanted to hang out with his bandmates. The outlet further claimed the singer is avoiding Kidman's events even when he has a day off from his tour.
The publication alleged that Kidman is furious of her husband's lack of effort to attend her events. The Big Little Lies actress, reportedly, bombarded Urban with calls and texts, and these made the "Blue Ain't Your Color" singer feels "increasingly suffocated."
Entertainment site Gossip Cop, however, debunked the story. The site noted that the Aquaman actress loves her husband very much and has been gushing about the good traits of her real-life partner during the recent GQ Awards in which he called Urban her "man of the year."
Gossip Cop also pointed out that the reasons Urban had to skip some of Kidman's events, recently, because he has been on tour. It explained that Kidman was promoting The Goldfinch on September 3, 7, and 8 while Urban had performances in Las Vegas on September 6 and 7. Kidman's representative also denied rumors that the couple is heading to a divorce.
This is not the first time this year that Kidman and Urban's marriage has been speculated to be on the brink of collapse. In July, Life & Style reported that the couple is about to part ways following a "tense" trip to Kidman's home country, Australia.
Allegedly, the couple had a fight when Urban went back to the U.S. five days later. Kidman reportedly accused her husband of rushing home so he could be with his young musician friends.
As for Urban, the Life & Style claimed that the singer hates her wife's "close, sometimes too chummy friendships with her male co-stars." Gossip Cop debunked the report, citing Urban's reason for flying back to the US was to perform at the Faster Horses Festival in Michigan.
Back in September 2018, Urban admitted that their rumored split in tabloids are not only tough for him and his wife but more so on their children. In a radio interview, the 51-year-old country singer said they just laugh the rumors off but admitted that it's been hard to explain the reports to their daughters, Sunday, 10, and Faith, 7.
