In the next few days, The Conners Season 2 will finally arrive. The new season is about to welcome its newest additions to the cast.

It has been previously reported that Katey Sagal will return to reprise the role of Louise. Her arrival in Dan's life, during the pilot season, made an impact on the show. So, from having a "guest-role" status, she is now to play Lousie for the better part of the season.

Louise's character back in the pilot season is an interesting twist, especially on Dan's part. As any fan knows it, Dan has a huge "crush" on her. But, while things did not work out since he felt unsure given the Roseanne situation, many fans deemed it as a good storyline for the characters.

In an interview with TV Line, series creator Bruce Helford revealed that Louise's return in the picture would possibly give Dan a new perspective in his life. Though a love-interest arc will surely take place between the characters, they want to take things "slowly."

Katey Sagal will first appear on the third episode of The Conners Season 2. And, along with her, Cinema Blend reported that Dan Aykroyd would also star in the episode.

Apparently, John Goodman, who plays the role of Dan, is good friends with Dan Aykroyd in real life. The two celebrities starred in the hit spin-off Blues Brothers 2000. Hence, the fans deemed the upcoming episode as a reunion between them.

Dan Aykroyd will play the guest role of John Goodman's Dan's poker buddy. It is still unknown if he is to reprise the original role that he played in Roseanne. Even so, it is "expected" that this is the only episode that he'll be seen during the entire course of the show.

There is no word yet as to how this episode will go. But, Cartermatt asserted that, if it all goes well, then there is a huge chance that The Conners Season 2 will feature him again in future installments.

Of course, this will surely be good news to many fans of Saturday Night Live and Blues Brothers 2000 given that Dan Aykroyd played compelling roles in these materials. But, right now, there are no plans yet for his role to become a recurring one on The Conners Season 2. So, fans better watch out what will happen.

The Conners Season 2 premieres on September 24, on ABC.
