Jennifer Aniston's struggles and pains before and right after her divorce with Brad Pitt will never be forgotten by many of her fans. Aniston has moved on since then and got into new a relationship. She got married to actor-director Justin Theroux in May 2015 but separated in 2017. It was a hurtful break up for the Friends actress, but her split with Pitt could be, if not, the most painful.
The whole world found how Aniston silently cried after learning that Angelina Jolie was pregnant with Pitt's child even before their divorce was finalized. In a September 2005 Vanity Fair interview, Aniston poured out everything.
She recalled how she decided to leave Friends in 2004, so she and Pitt could start their own family. But, this is also the time when the actor met and fell in love with Jolie on the set of Mr. And Mrs. Smith.
The following year, Aniston and Pitt broke up, and the latter filed for divorce in March 2005. In the interview, Aniston expressed how pissed she is on allegations that Pitt broke up with her because she refused to have a baby as she cares too much about her career.
"I've never in my life said I didn't want to have children. I did, and I do, and I will!... I've always wanted to have children, and I would never give up that experience for a career. I want to have it all," she told Vanity Fair at the time.
Also, what pains the actress more than the actual split is reading about her still-husband at the time with another woman in the front pages of tabloids as the two spend sweet time together on the beach at a resort in Africa. Jolie and Pitt still did not give any confirmation about their relationship amidst all speculations until January 2006 when the Lara Croft actress confirmed her pregnancy.
When asked about Jolie's pregnancy, Aniston broke down in tears. Vanity Fair reporter Leslie Bennetts described the moment as "excruciating." She said Aniston looked like she was "stabbed in the heart" and silently cried for several minutes until she shook her head to signify that she was too hurt to talk about the subject.
Despite the failed marriage, Aniston feels fortunate to have experienced married life with Pitt. The Morning Show actress still thinks that it was a beautiful yet complicated relationship.
