In less than a month, The Crown Season 3 will finally arrive. The new faces of the Buckingham Palace will, then, be witnessed by the avid fans of the show.

The first two installments of the series featured the younger versions of the royal family. With Claire Foy and Matt Smith, who played the roles of Queen Elizabeth II and Prince Philip, respectively, the show was able to showcase the events that led to the Queen's coronation and lifestyle adjustments.

In the upcoming season, more matured appearances will be shown to the audience, given that the setting is now moving in the 60s and 70s era. So, the fans can expect a whole new set of faces when The Crown Season 3 arrives.

Queen Elizabeth II will now be played by Olivia Colman. Game of Thrones star Tobias Menzie will replace Matt Smith for the role of the Duke of Edinburgh. Princess Margaret, on the other hand, would now be portrayed by Helena Bonham-Carter.

While some fans are quite confounded with the changes in the show's cast, many critics found it just suitable for the case. Besides, prosthetic make-ups and props will certainly do a decent job. It has been previously revealed that Olivia Colman wore a pair of blue contact lenses to fit Claire Foy's overall appearance. But, as per Variety, they decided not to go with it since it felt like a mask covering the actress.

The Crown Season 2 ended with the Mystery Man episode. While the general reception would be that Prince Philip was the center of the buzz, this tackled the infamous Profumo affair, which affected the whole British government. The Crown Season 3 will start the coverage in the impacts of the said controversy.

According to The Sun, The Crown Season 3 will be based on the events that happened between the early 1960s and late 1970s. So, expect that the huge Aberfan disaster in 1966 will be featured as well as the shocking landing to the moon by Apollo 11 in 1969. The decolonization of Africa and the Carribean will also be tackled in the next season.

Aside from these events, the personal lives and relationships of the royal family will be greatly highlighted as the controversies inside the Buckingham Palace during this era were very high-profile. This will include Princess Margaret's marriage and affair and Prince Charles' coronation, along with his romantic relationship with Camilla Parker-Bowles.

The latter subject of The Crown Season 3 is believed to be the "key focus" of the season. This will, certainly, set up the stage for Princess Diana's arrival in Season 4.

The Crown Season 3 will arrive on November 17, on Netflix.
