The newly launched iPhone 11 phones have been available for pre-order since Friday, and although it's way too early to comment on their market performance, it's safe to say that the latest Apple flagship is doing quite well.

The iPhone 11 sells for $700, while the base model of the 11 Pro starts at $1000 and the 11 Pro Max at $1,100. Given the huge difference between the 11 and the 11 Pro, one would think most people would prefer the former. However, US sales for the iPhone 11 Pro is apparently strong, according to analysts.

American consumers reportedly prefer the 256GB model of the iPhone 11 Pro, particularly the Gold and Space Gray variants. A report from 9to5Mac claims that the demand for the iPhone 11 and iPhone 11 Pro is greater compared to the models last year during the same time period. The shipment time for the iPhone 11 Pro and the iPhone 11 Pro Max is now 17 days, compared to 11 days for the iPhone XS and iPhone XS Max, notes one report.

The reason behind the early success of the iPhone 11s cannot be identified with certainty, but some people believe that iPhone owners who didn't get to buy last year's model decided to upgrade this year. The latest flagship models are also popular in China, which analysts believe is due to the fact that this year's models are more affordable than the iPhone XR, and with great upgrades to boot.

In terms of sales, China was the third-most important region for Apple last year. Now given the tensions between the US and the country currently, a huge demand is a good sign for Apple. Apparently, preorders are a staggering 480 percent more when compared to last year.

The iPhone 11s enjoying a good market performance sure is a surprise, considering there aren't many upgrades and the new series is basically the same as last year's models, except for the changes in its rear camera.

For those who didn't get any of the new iPhone 11 phones, next year will be a good time to invest on a brand-new iPhone. The 2020 iPhone range is expected to come with a new design, support for 5G, and even better cameras.
