Supergirl Season 5's premiere is finally approaching. With only a few weeks left, the fans can no longer contain the excitement. But, ahead of its new season premiere, the series has revealed a lot of new things for the new season. And it seemingly appears that Kara is about to face the most challenging days of her life.
When Supergirl ended its fourth season run, things between Kara and Lena became chaotic. As it happened, Lena finally learned about Kara's alter ego.
The "best of friends" duo will surely no longer flourish in the upcoming installments. In fact, many of the fans are convinced that this might start huge strife between the two characters. And according to Superhero Hype, Supergirl might just face her biggest nemesis yet in the form of Lena Luthor. Not to mention, it is also stressed out that the apparent "betrayal" that Lena feels will be the "center" of the new season.
These theories and speculations are highly possible to happen. However, it is yet uncovered if the friendship will end in this way. But, even so, Supergirl's upcoming villains are already revealed. And it looks like that she will be outpowered in Supergirl Season 5.
According to CBR, the recent teasers have finally revealed the new season's most anticipated big bad. Midnight, played by the series new cast addition, Jennifer Cheon Garcia, will arrive in the next season from an otherworldly prison.
She is hinted to enter Kara's world to "enact revenge" to the person who is responsible for sending her to the prison. Also, Midnight is deemed as the darkness' physical manifestation and embodiment. So, there will be no place for Supergirl to hide even in the dark.
Along with Midnight's arrival, the Leviathans, who have been long hinted in the show, will finally enter the course as the other villains of the new season. And, as per the reports, they will essentially utilize technology. Hence, fans can expect that Supergirl Season 5 will tackle more technological solutions and innovations.
On another note, Mea World Wide has learned that Kara's alter ego will have a new costume. Based on the first set of looks, her classic skirt is now changed to pants. It is also depicted that the costume will feature the House of El's coat of arms in her chest, which is a huge nod to Superman's overall costume.
All of these details will be further revealed once Supergirl Season 5 starts to drop new episodes on October 6, on The CW.
