After introducing the gory theme of the new season, American Horror Story: 1984 will continue to scare fans with the murder killings. FX has dropped the second episode's official trailer and, by the looks of it, the investigation is about to begin.
The trailer begins with the investigator's arrival at the crime scene at the psych ward of the Camp Redwood. "A psychopath who committed mass murder is on the loose," she said. However, it remains to be seen to whom she is talking to.
Both Margaret Booth (Leslie Grossman) and Brooke Thompson (Emma Roberts) have survived two different mass murderers so that the investigator may be talking to either one of them. She even adds the murderer has an obsession with "her" in American Horror Story: 1984 Episode 2.
In the next scene, Margaret insists Camp Redwood will be back to business as usual. Aside from the summer camp, the second episode will also focus on Mr. Jingles' (John Carroll Lynch) murders. The young adults, on the other hand, are starting to feel the intense vibe around them.
Margaret can continuously be seen giving sermons every time someone says they are all going to die. Although she is a survivor, she is still in denial of what happened, believing they will only die from sins. On the surface, there will be more sins involved, from alcohol to cocaine abuse, and more.
Aside from the trailer, FX has also released American Horror Story: 1984 Episode 2's official synopsis. "Darkness descends upon the camp. Although it's lights out, evil has no curfew," it read, via Elite Daily. Although it doesn't give much about the new installment, it teases the continuation of the grisly murder as evil lurks in the dark.
Meanwhile, American Horror Story: 1984 has evidently changed its tone from the political angle of Season 7 and Season 8. In fact, its subtitle, 1984, doesn't only imply the era it is set in, but it is also its entire concept.
The show returns to the past when people enjoy seeing teenagers getting murdered for giving in to their lustful urges without thinking of its effect and consequences. It is also the time when the slasher films are all the rage. American Horror Story: 1984 Episode 2 is set to be out on Wednesday, Sept. 29, at 9 p.m. on FX.
