In about two months, fans are about to see Rick and Morty Season 4 on the small screens. The expectation is now high for the new series with the coming of new guest stars and a possible appearance of a lucky fan.
Co-creators Justin Roiland and Dan Harmon have dropped a new video promoting a Prizeo contest, offering a fan a chance to get drawn into an episode of the animated series. The lucky fan will also have the chance to meet its showrunners.
In the clip, Roiland also revealed the winner would get a chance to see the studio where they make the show. However, Inverse noted it is not revealed when the winner would be drawn into the series.
Although some expect it to happen in Rick and Morty Season 4, it is more likely the winner will appear in Season 5. Season 4's writing is, reportedly, done. So, unless Harmon, Roiland, and the writers plan for this appearance in advance and there can still be random shot made, there is a big possibility it will happen this season.
Meanwhile, aside from the lucky winner's cameo, a line-up of stellar guest stars are about to be seen in the animated series' new season. Roiland and Harmon revealed the new characters that will make their way to the show at the recent San Diego Comic-Con.
Rick and Morty Season 4 will feature director Taika Waititi, Sam Neill, Kathleen Turner, and Paul Giamatti. According to Express, Adult Swim already teased Waititi's role by releasing a short clip, introducing a new character named Glootie, who seems to be trying to trick Morty (voiced by Roiland) and Jerry (Chris Parnell) with an app.
Neill will also be seen in the new season, although his role is yet to be revealed. However, Roiland told Entertainment Weekly, his character would be the same species as Waititi's role. "We wanted a Kiwi flavor to their species," he said. Are they somehow related?
Turner will also be seen in Rick and Morty Season 4. However, her role is yet to be revealed, too. From a legendary actress, another Oscar-nominated star is going to join the series with Giamatti.
Rick and Morty Season 4 is set to be out in November with 10 new episodes. However, it remains to be seen if Adult Swim will release a new episode every week or it will drop it all at once.
