It will be a Charmed reunion on all fronts in the upcoming Grey's Anatomy Season 16 Episode 3. Aside from Alyssa Milano and Holly Marie Combs playing sisters again in the episode, Charmed writers Krista Vernoff and Andy Reaser will also work together in the ABC medical drama.
It has been confirmed that Milano and Combs will appear in the upcoming episode of Grey's Anatomy Season 16. They will portray sisters of a patient who's brain dead after falling into a construction site. Grey's Anatomy Season 16 Episode 3 will also reunite Grey's executive producers Krista Vernoff and Andy Reaser, who both wrote on Charmed.
In the episode, which is fittingly-titled "Reunited," the two will have to make a difficult decision on whether or not to keep their sister alive. Unfortunately, their Charmed co-star Shannen Doherty will not be playing the sister in a coma.
In the fantasy TV series, Milano and Combs played Phoebe and Piper Halliwell, respectively. They were the two members of the magical Power of Three while the other one is Prue Halliwell (Doherty).
The Charmed reunion is just part of ABC's "Cast From The Past" reunion event, which will take place during the second week of October. Aside from the Charmed characters' reunion, other notable reunions are some Blues Brother's characters will meet up at The Conners while Adam Brody of The O.C. will show up on Single Parents to work with play with his real-life wife, Leighton Meester.
Deidrich Bader will also reunite with his Drew Carey Show's co-stars Drew Carey, Ryan Stiles, and Kathy Kinney on American Housewife. The reunion special will wrap up with a Castle reunion of Nathan Fillion, Jon Huertas, and Seamus Dever on The Rookie.
Meanwhile, all of the cliffhangers that left unanswered in Grey's Anatomy Season 15 finale will be resolved when the new installment premiere later this month. It can be called that Season 15 ended with a storm hits Seattle and the intense fog caused a major pileup on the road.
Owen (Kevin McKidd) and Schmitt (Jake Borelli) along with precious blood donor Frances get stuck in traffic. Pregnant Teddy (Kim Raver) is in labor while also sitting in traffic with Amelia (Caterina Scorsone).
DeLuca (Giacomo Gianniotti) lands in jail after he took the fall when Meredith (Ellen Pompeo) and others who committed insurance fraud by falsifying a medical chart. Bailey (Chandra Wilson) fired Meredith, Webber (James Pickens Jr.), and Alex (Justin Chambers). Jackson (Jesse Williams) went missing after stepping out of the car during an argument with his girlfriend Maggie (Kelly McCreary).
Grey's Anatomy Season 16 is set to premiere on September 26 on ABC. Episode 3 is scheduled to air on October 10.
