A senior royal insider has a grave prediction for Meghan Markle and Prince Harry. The source, who has chosen to remain unnamed, believes that the Sussex couple's marriage isn't going to go past three years.

The prediction was published in The Sunday Times, where the source also dished the nickname for Duchess Meghan. Apparently, she is called "the degree wife" because it takes just three years to earn a basic degree in the United Kingdom.

While it's just a prediction from an anonymous source, body language expert Judi James, recently, shared her observations from Meghan Markle and Prince Harry photos that may indicate cracks in their marriage. James said that the Sussex royals didn't seem to be as in sync as before when they attended one of their closest friends' wedding in Italy on Sept. 20.

"In a nutshell, he looks bored and distant, and she's trying to get his attention," the expert said. "Meghan is very much trying to signal them as a trophy couple, but he's not playing ball."

James compared Meghan Markle and Prince Harry's body language from another wedding they attended when they were just dating for eight months. James said that, at that time, it was Prince Harry who behaved like he was proudly displaying her then-girlfriend as a trophy catch.

Technically, however, Duchess Meghan and Prince Harry's relationship has reached the third-year mark. They met in mid-2016 and dated for a year and a half. They got married in mid-2018 and had their first child around the same time a year later.

Royal analyst Angela Mollard said, in a podcast interview, that most psychologists usually consider the third-year mark of a romantic relationship as a phase where the infatuation has worn off. It signals the end of the honeymoon for most couples that if the relationship wasn't stable, to begin with, then it will likely crack.

Mollard also compared the Sussex royals' relationship with Prince William and Duchess Kate Middleton, who had a long courtship before they settled down and married. The expert believes that it might be harder for Duchess Meghan and Prince Harry to sustain their marriage compared to Prince William and Duchess Kate because of their short courtship, and the fact that they had a child soon after.

"It's that transition phase, to real life, with a baby, with the pressure of your jobs. There are a lot of conflicting forces within their lives," the royal analyst said.
