TWICE member Mina will not be joining the promotions for group's comeback album Feel Special due to anxiety disorder. JYP Entertainment made the announcement recently. It also explained why Jihyo was unable to dance during the showcase event.

In a statement, JYP Entertainment disclosed that, while Mina was well enough to participate in the album's recording, she will be absent from the showcase and promotions for TWICE's eighth mini-album. The agency appealed for understanding from TWICE's fandom, reported Soompi.

JYP also explained why TWICE's Jihyo had to sit out the showcase performance to launch the Feel Special album. They assured that it was not a source of major concern after fans expressed alarm over Jihyo's absence.

"Her neck became stiff during rehearsal, so she quickly went to the hospital. She will inevitably not be able to dance and will perform while seated," JYP Entertainment posted the update.

TWICE's comeback is one of the most anticipated activities for the group this year after fans missed them while they were on their TWICELIGHTS world tour. The group, recently, wrapped the second leg of their TWICELIGHTS World Tour in Kuala Lumpur before releasing their comeback tracks. However, they are expected back on the tour circuit when they embark on Japan leg of their concert series in 2020.

It seems fans of TWICE have plenty to be excited about because it was, recently, reported that Jihyo, Nayeon, Jeongyeon, Momo, Sana,  Mina, Dahyun, Chaeyoung, and Tzuyu would also be appearing in their own YouTube original series.

According to Billboard, JYP Entertainment and YouTube have partnered up to produce the original series which will chronicle TWICE's rise to global superstardom beginning from their debut. The series, described as "unlike anything released by TWICE before," is expected to feature "intimate and personal portrayal of all of TWICE's members."

The series will mostly focus on TWICE during their North American tour and provide insight on Mina's departure in the middle of the tour after suffering from anxiety.

This is the first time YouTube has partnered with a K-Pop girl group to develop original content. So, fans are eagerly awaiting what makes the show different from previous content already posted on TWICE's own YouTube channel.

TWICE is considered a breakout Kpop girl group that has won the hearts of millions of fans worldwide with hits like TT, Cheer Up, Yes or Yes, Likey and Knock Knock. The combination of their catchy dance choreography and upbeat dance music has captured the attention of audiences from North America, Europe, Asia, and Australia, leading to sold-out concerts and merchandise.
