On Tuesday's premiere episode of NCIS: New Orleans Season 6, Pride cut his break short because of a Navy bomb threat. It did not go well at first though when Hannah broke protocol to save the lives of the civilians on site.
She got suspended to which Pride did not fight off. But, when things got even more dangerous, he asked Hannah to come with him. And in the end, she was the one who was able to resolve the case.
While recognition was expected, the suspension was not lifted. So, Pride made a deal to get her back. As reiterated by TV Insider, Hannah got demoted while Pride returned to lead the team again.
It was business as usual for everyone. However, the case is not the same for Pride. It was revealed that he has been suffering from trauma after the events of Apollyon in Season 5.
Cartermatt released a quick preview of NCIS: New Orleans Season 6 Episode 2. The synopsis revealed that Pride is now suffering from insomnia and his "nightmares" will grow worse.
The publication pointed out that it's impressive how the series centers on mental health issues, especially on the agents' part. It's not something that any viewer would see every day on small screens.
Pride will seemingly suffer from his trauma for quite a long time. It will not certainly "wrap up" after NCIS: New Orleans Season 6 Episode 2 as added by the publication.
Alongside Pride's mental health concerns, the NCIS crew will face another case. A private plane crash will become mysterious after a Navy pilot claims that there was an unidentified flying object just a few moments before the crash happens.
The team is hinted to get involved upon learning the claims. While no further links are given about its role in the bigger picture of the season, Pride's being on-site again amid his condition will surely play a part.
As for Hannah, her future becomes more volatile after learning that the heads wanted her out from the team. There are now speculations that she might leave the show for good. Even so, no confirmation has been given yet. Besides, it might just be part of the bigger plot. So, unless otherwise stated, fans will need to witness more episodes of NCIS: New Orleans Season 6.
The second episode titled, The Terminator Conundrum, will air on October 1, on CBS.
