It has been confirmed - Paul Pogba was injured when the Red Devils battled against Rochdale last September. The World Cup winner suffered a "microfisure" or a cracked toe that doctors said will not require surgery. Pogba is said to be healing naturally and likely will be ready when Manchester United next face Liverpool.

Already with a depleted lineup, United would want to see him suit up on October 20, but reports have indicated the midfielder's pain has worsened following the match with Arsenal last week.

According to The Daily Mail, Pogba was sent to Dubai to undergo a warm-weather therapy that supposedly will speed up his recovery, indicating that United will want to see the star back in action at the soonest possible time.

"The Manchester United midfielder is using the state-of-the-art Transform Altitude Performance Center as his base for his rehabilitation work in Dubai," the report said, adding the Reds star returned to England on Sunday.

He did not appear though when United clashed with Newcastle, which the latter had won. It was the match that precipitated the speculations that team manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer will be axed, which likely will become true if the Reds will again drop the match with Liverpool.

In a separate story, Bleacher Report said rushing back Pogba against Liverpool could prove a huge mistake as his injury was characterized as "serious."

It was alleged that Pogba's injury is identical to that of Neymar, which forced the latter out of action for a long time. However, people close to the United midfielder have denied that he is hurting so bad.

"Recovery time is put at seven days of immobilization and then two to three weeks of recovery before he can consider a return, but they don't make it clear when this timeframe starts from," the report added.

It is understandable, according to Bleacher Report, that Solskjaer would want to have Pogba on the field on October 20. It seemed the Norwegian is struggling to fire up the Red Devils, and the midfielder is the firewood he badly needs.

"Pogba may not be consistent, but he's United's best player in possession and capable of unlocking a game with a moment of inspiration. Without him, there's no thrust from the heart of the team," the report said.

For Pogba to be fully effective, the Daily Star said the Frenchman has to do rehab that could stretch for no less than three weeks. This requirement missing. He might not be much of a help against Liverpool that now holds the lead in the Premier League.
