Dani Ceballos broke his silence recently about the issue of his departure from Real Madrid. New reports claim that the 23 years old Spanish midfielder is pursuing a permanent stay at Arsenal. The footballer's decision is reportedly based on the discussion he recently had with the president of Real Madrid.

Dani Ceballos is preparing for a permanent move to Arsenal when the January transfer window opens. According to reports, the Spanish attacking midfielder was reportedly told by Real Madrid's President Florentino Perez that he has no future at the club. Ceballos had a strong start at the Emirates since he joined the team on loan from Real Madrid last summer.

However, a report from El Desmarque stated that Dani Ceballos utilized his time in Spain to meet with Real Madrid's president and both parties agreed that a permanent switch to Arsenal will make a lot of sense. Madrid's boss Zinedine Zidane does not see a future for the 23 years old midfielder in the team. Real Madrid would be glad to let him go for a fee of approximately £34million, which is triple, the amount of what it paid for Ceballos.

But the Spanish midfielder would also want his future secured as soon as possible and would ideally love to stay at Arsenal having his time under the tutelage of Unai Emery. He has Real Madrid to give priority to Arsenal's bid for him over other clubs. But, it remains to be seen if the Gunners are prepared to pursue him halfway through the season.

A few months ago Dani Ceballos shared that going to Arsenal has been a very significant step in his career and he does not feel sorry for not being in Real Madrid. At that time, he was happy and he said that his ultimate goal is to come out and play and enjoy football. But, the Spanish attacking midfielder also revealed that leaving Real Madrid for good was never a part of his long-term plans and has not even crossed his mind.

But, it seems that he backtracked on his earlier statements and his previous interview with Radio Marca, Dani Ceballos said that his statement was misunderstood. He clarified that he ho not like it when he is not playing football. The young playmaker further explained that he needed consistent minutes this season prior to the next UEFA Euro 2020 where Spain will be competing. It can be recalled that he has helped his country and was in the Euro U21.
