Struggling as they are, the Red Devils pin their hopes on team boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's plan of roster rebuilding, which supposedly will take in the coming months and starting in the January transfer windows. However, Solskjaer needs to do more than talking about a plan for Manchester United.

That's according to United legend Roy Keane, who gave his unsolicited advice to the Norwegian that things will need to look a bit better. The Reds will need to get good results and soon.

Likely, Keane is alluding to the sorry state of United's ongoing Premier League campaign. The Reds are on the 13th and just a few points shy of the relegation zone. It might be that the draw match with Liverpool provided a boost, but there needs to be more than that.

The most important thing for the Reds now is to gain traction, and Solskjaer must make it happen the soonest, Keane said.

"It's great when everyone talks about having a plan ... He needs some results," the Express reported the former United as saying.

"Ole's got to get more out of the players that he's got, he's got to get more out of the players," Keane further advised, adding that the chief has to make do with his current roster of talents before focusing on signing new players.

For the purpose of beefing up the Reds, Solskjaer must look no further and do his best to acquire Harry Kane, the striker for Tottenham Spurs, and exactly the man that United needs to improve the club's scoring ability.

Talk Sport said hiring Kane makes sense as the England captain boasts of scoring 171 goals so far for the Spurs. He averages 20 per season, so there is no argument that Kane is a prized recruit, that is if Tottenham is willing to make a deal.

"Go and get Kane from Spurs, it's easy ... He scores 20 goals a season with his eyes shut. They're in disarray, go and get him," Keane suggested.

Kane coming to Old Trafford is not entirely remote as there were talks of him considering the transfer in the past, purportedly for a higher chance of tasting wins and capturing championships with the Reds.

As for the results that Keane said Solskjaer would have to deliver to the Reds soon, the latter appears to be working on the aspect now. The first step was shown in the last match with Liverpool, which is favored heavily to win.

Solskjaer said the Reds disrupted the game plan by Jurgen Klopp by taking a page on the latter's playbook, and it worked, Metro reported.
