Blizzard announced last year a brand-new "Diablo" game at BlizzCon 2018. Usually, when a new game is announced, it's a big deal for the gaming studio. But, it appears that this is not the case this time. Probably because after Blizzard teased the "Diablo 4" announcement, it also announced a new mobile game titled "Diablo: Immortal."
The announcement disappointed many fans because the big announcement was for a mobile game. Additionally, the new game does not even look and feel as good as the older "Diablo" games. But, it seems that Blizzard is making atonement for its previous errors related to "Diablo" games.
If the latest pieces of evidence are accurate, we might soon see the announcement of "Diablo 4" and "Diablo 2 Remastered" at this year's BlizzCon. Reliable tipster Metro, who previously leaked last year BlizzCon announcements, is back once again with some interesting news. According to the tipster, "Diablo 4" will be officially launched at the show along with "Diablo 2 Remastered."
The tipster did not reveal more details about the games or the announcements. However, Metro shared that scoop came from the same source that gave him the details about the new hero in "Overwatch" which he leaked last year. Blizzard earlier confirmed that it is working on "Diablo 4" so claims about the announcement of the upcoming game are no longer surprising.
For anyone who cares, diablo 4 and diablo 2 remastered will also be announced. :) #BlizzCon2019 — Metro (@Metro_OW) October 18, 2019
What is more surprising is the announcement of "Diablo 2 Remastered" most likely to fit the current and next-generation gaming consoles. Another claim about the announcement at this year's BlizzCon came from the German site Gamestar. The site revealed that a new "Diablo" art book will be released after the event. Interestingly, a leaked ad for the art book claims that it features over 500 artwork ranging from "Diablo," "Diablo II," "Diablo III," and "Diablo 4."
The announcement of "Diablo 4" and "Diablo 2 Remastered" would be an excellent strategy for Blizzard. The gaming studio is currently under fire following the banning incident of players in relation to the Hong Kong crisis. Last year, we already heard that Blizzard will announce "Diablo 4," but the gaming studio eventually pulled back because of several development issues.
Meanwhile, we suggest that you take this information with a hefty amount of salt and with skepticism considering that these are leaks and not official confirmation or announcement from Blizzard.
