Google began fixing the Google Pixel 4 with software updates, which become some kind f tradition for the flagship smartphone series. So far, the search engine giant has solved the Smooth Display issue and is trying to fix the 3D face unlock security bug. However, it appears that there is a major flaw in Pixel 4 that according to a report, no amount of software update could ever fix.

Back in 2016, early iPhone 6 users discovered a frustrating problem. By applying enough pressure on the first generation thin aluminum frames, it could easily bend without destroying the phone's structure. The Cupertino-based tech giant immediately fixed the Bendgate issue and made sure that it will never happen again.

The YouTube channel JerryRigEverything is popular for his reviews on the durability of various devices available in the market today. He performs tests on iPhone for bending problems as well as other major new flagship devices like the Google Pixel 4. Based on the video shown on the YouTube channel, the Pixel 4 XL has a major design flaw that is bending it becomes possible.

Surprisingly, the issue with Google Pixel 4 is far worse than on the iPhone 6. The antenna lines located on the sides of the metal frame are what appear to compromise the integrity of the phone's structure, which causes damages beyond repair. Based on the video, Google Pixel 4 bends or breaks in a couple of places on both sides.

It appears that the display still works, but once the phone is damaged, there is no going back. This is a massive issue for Google's flagship handset especially one that is designed to compete with all other Android phones and iPhones. This means that users should pay attention to how they handle their Google Pixel 4 and be cautious in keeping or storing them.

Knowing this vulnerability would prevent the user from sitting on the Pixel 4, considering that it might not be able to survive the extra pressure. Based on the video, the Pixel 4 XL bends with ease, and it is likely that the Pixel 4 will not be any better considering that both models share almost the same size and specs. Ironically, Google is known to replicate the design choices and features of the iPhone.

Unfortunately, it fails to copy the durability of Apple's iPhone. Google must make sure that this massive design flaw of Google Pixel 4 XL and maybe Pixel 4 must be fixed immediately.
