BTS's Jin celebrated his birthday in a very meaningful way. Aside from his group winning nine awards at the 2019 Mnet Asian Music Awards, Jin also spoke about one issue that has been a reality in the K-pop industry for years: the sajaegi or chart manipulation.

The BTS's eldest member has been known for being vocal about his opinion or what's in his mind. During last year's MAMA, he revealed that BTS thought about disbanding and this made his bandmates and ARMY cry. This year, there were no tears but Jin spoke up once again but this time, against chart manipulation in the industry.

The seven members of BTS took the center stage to accept the Song of the Year award. At first, Jin thanked the ARMY for making their third daesang of the night possible. He also acknowledged Suga, J-Hope, RM, Jimin, V, and Jungkook for their hard work in their Map of The Soul: Persona album, which also won the Album Of The Year award.

Then, the "Epiphany" singer talked about making music in an honest way. The 27-year-old singer stressed that there are many songs that are worthy to be heard and recognized. Though Jin chooses his words very cautiously, he still made a powerful statement to his colleagues in the industry as well as to K-pop fans about chart manipulation.

"I know there are some negative ways to do this, but music should be done in an honest way. I look forward to living in a world where music is produced in good faith, and heard in good faith," Jin said. Watch the entire speech of Jin in the video below (40:40 mark).

After Jin uttered such words, BTS leader RM is seen clapping, signifying his approval to his hyung's statement. Sajaegi or chart manipulation has been a hot issue in the industry. Many K-pop artists have also spoken about the issue and demanded action to be taken against those responsible.

BTS ARMY took to Twitter to praise Jin for his courage of shining a light on important issues that are affecting the South Korean music scene and at the same time stating the BTS's stance on the matter. Many said the "Boy With Luv" hitmakers understand their influence and uses it to make positive changes in the K-pop world.

Meanwhile, Jin also hinted about the next album of BTS. He vowed that they will give their fans only good music in their next album. BTS member Jimin also confirmed that a new album from the group is already in the works.

Big Hit has yet to make an announcement about the upcoming album from the Billboard Music Awards and American Music Awards' Best Duo/Group winner. Many are expecting it though to arrive early next year.
