Cody Simpson is indeed becoming part of Miley Cyrus' family. After spending a lot of them with them, it's now time for Miley to meet his family.
Miley and Cody are good friends for years. They started dating in October after the 27-year-old singer ended her less than a year of marriage to Liam Hemsworth in August and her brief romance with Kaitlynn Carter in September.
Miley's family warmly welcomed Cody into their family. Sources said the Cyruses really like Simpson for the Hannah Montana star as he makes her happy.
Over the past couple of months that they are dating, Cody had spent a lot of time with the Cyruses. The last of which was during Thanksgiving. Miley's younger sister, Noah, shared a Thanksgiving family photo in which Cody was seen sitting in between Miley and her mom, Tish Cyrus.
Now that Cody is comfortable with his girlfriend's family, it is time for Miley to spend time with his family. The "Slide Away" singer is set to see her boyfriend's mom for the first since they started dating.
Miley has met the Simpsons in the past but this will be the first time that she will see Cody's mother, Angie Simpson, as his girlfriend. Mrs. Simpson revealed earlier this month that her son surprised her with a ticket to Nashville. Apparently, she will be in the U.S for two weeks.
Reports have it that Angie will be flying in from Australia later this month to spend the holidays with her son and the "Wrecking Ball" hitmaker. The source said the Simpson matriarch will be spending time in Tennessee so she can get to know Miley more.
The "Malibu" singer and Cody Simpson are not the only ones who are getting along really well. Even the other members of their families. Last month, Tish Cyrus shared Angie Simpson's poster for her workshop in Los Angeles.
On Thanksgiving, Angie commented on Tish's photo of her hugging her son, Braison. She also recently posted a greeting to Miley on her 27th birthday on November 23.
As for Cody's younger sister, Alli, she also gave her seal of approval to the Miley-Cody romance. The Australian model said they love Cyrus. She said the couple looks always happy whenever they talk to each other through FaceTime.
Meanwhile, there has been a delay in Miley and Liam's divorce proceeding in court. Apparently, it is because of Hemsworth, who filed for divorce weeks after their split. E! News reported that the Los Angeles superior court had sent notice to the actor to complete the appropriate steps in the divorce process if he wants to continue with the case.
