Blizzard officially unveiled "Overwatch 2" at BlizzCon 2019, and fans of the popular shooter game have already prepared a list of questions for the gaming studio to answer. The unexpected sequel to the successful "Overwatch" game will reportedly introduce a single-player campaign for the first time to compliment the traditional focus of the current game. But, what we did not know is that the upcoming sequel will be released on the hybrid Japanese gaming console-Nintendo Switch.

It appears that Nintendo is on hand to set Nintendo Switch users out of their theoretical misery. The official YouTube channel of Nintendo recently shared a gameplay trailer of "Overwatch 2." The video, which you can find below, was picked up and reported by GamesRadar.

The teaser is titled "Overwatch 2" Gameplay Trailer-Nintendo Switch. It is a three-minute trailer mainly cinematic and founded on the franchise's lore. Additionally, the teaser noticeably contains a little gameplay action peppered in-between.

Earlier this month, Gamerant reported that "Overwatch 2" will introduce more heroes in the game. These heroes will not only be introduced as additional characters in the game. Instead, each time a hero is introduced, it will also add new gameplay or content to the upcoming shooter sequel.

Game Director Jeff Kaplan recently spoke with Edge Magazine about "Overwatch 2." The full interview is published in issue 340 of this month's issues and will give readers more insights about the upcoming video title. When asked about the replay value of the upcoming game's PvE missions, Kaplan says that the game will explore what the endgame means for Hero Missions.

Blizzard has a lot of experienced developers who designed the content for "World of Warcraft" and "Diablo," Kaplan reveals. This is one of the challenges that we are very eager to begin working on, the game director adds. Meanwhile, it is disappointing to know that until know, Blizzard has no release window for "Overwatch 2."

In an earlier interview with Jeff Kaplan, the game director was asked for the release window of the game. He said that he has no idea when the sequel will be released, which definitely suggests that the team is still knee-deep developing the game. Kaplan also believes that next BlizzCon, he will be at the stage, answering some of the questions intended for the upcoming sequel.

It is just nice to know that "Overwatch 2" will be releasing on the Nintendo Switch. It will not only open up opportunities to Blizzard to get more players but will also let Nintendo Switch users enjoy the game on their favorite gaming platform.
