Samsung Galaxy S11 is the next flagship smartphone from the Seoul-based tech and electronics giant. It is also one of the heavily speculated upcoming devices because of the abundance of leaks popping up online. The latest is that it will have a refresh rate of 120 Hz, which is possible because of its massively-powered battery.
It appears that Samsung is currently knee-deep developing its next flagship smartphone, the Samsung Galaxy S11. The handset is anticipated to arrive in the early part of 2020. A new leak claims that the battery capacities of the upcoming models of the Galaxy S11 could destroy that of Apple's iPhone 11.
We already heard rumors that the next flagship device from Samsung will have a 108-megapixel camera sensor and a refresh rate of 120 Hz, but how will Samsung be able to pull this off without sacrificing other components of the handset? On Twitter, reliable tipster Ice Universe shared an image of what he claims the battery of Galaxy S11.
On the battery, we can clearly see the text 5,000 mAh, which is a massive leap for Samsung. The current generation S models such as the Galaxy S10 and S10 Plus only pack 4,100 mAh. Because of the rumored 120 Hz refresh rate, which will offer an incredibly smooth motion on the phone's display, the device will require a lot of power. The refresh rate is the number of times the smartphone updates with latest images for each second.
As I guessed a month ago, Galaxy S11+ really uses 5000mAh battery, you can safely use 120Hz. pic.twitter.com/bXphCId9yF — Ice universe (@UniverseIce) December 6, 2019
The higher the number of the refresh rate, the more frequent images are added, which is equivalent to smooth stop-motion animation. But, the higher the number of the refresh rate, the more power it will require. And, with the 5,000 mAh battery capacity, Samsung mitigates this need without compromising the battery life of the device. In other words, Galaxy S11 will have a fantastic display far superior to any current generation smartphones.
Samsung has always prided itself as one of the best in terms of high-quality displays, and the Samsung Galaxy S11 will prove that it upholds that pride. While Apple does not list battery capacities on its iPhones, a recently leaked document from TENA, a Chinese regulatory authority, showed that the iPhone 11 has 3110 mAh battery, iPhone 11 Pro sports a 3046 mAh battery, while the iPhone 11 Pro max houses 4000 mAh battery.
Simply put, the upcoming Samsung Galaxy S11 series will have far superior battery capacity than anything the current generation iPhone series is offering.
