Meghan Markle has been known to be creative when it comes to the gifts that she would give to her friends and family members. This year, Prince Harry could expect something that he will enjoy from his wife.
The royal couple has been out of the spotlight for weeks and is not expected to be seen in public until the New Year. Hence, the media has no chance to ask the Duke and Duchess of Sussex on what is their Christmas presents for each other.
The good thing is that Meghan has given her fans tons of ideas on what she would give to her beau on holidays. In her now-defunct personal blog, The Tig, she urged her readers to be creative and fun. Meghan said instead of buying something he will need, her readers could make sure that their present is something their husband or boyfriend would "enjoy."
"It's easy to grab another t-shirt for your man - but you'll likely steal it for PJs anyway. Instead, give him something creative that he'll actually enjoy like these little gems!" She wrote.
The Suits alum listed down some items that are perfect for gift-giving on Christmas. Her list includes a box set of colorful socks, a Crosley radio turntable, and a Brookstone pocket projector for displaying photos. She also included an "Exceptionally Handsome" wash bag and a Miri Hardey Pottery personalized shaving mug.
Meghan's fun and exciting gift-giving ideas are not far from what the members of the royal family grew up with. During Christmas Eve, the royals arrive at Queen Elizabeth II's estate in Norfolk. They exchange gifts during tea time.
Many thought the gifts that the royals give to each other during this time of the year are expensive or luxurious. In reality, it's the opposite.
Apparently, the gift-giving activity of the royal family involves hilarious gifts that have little value, hence it is called "gimmick" gifts. Last year, Meghan's gift to the Queen was reportedly the most amusing present of the day.
The Duchess of Sussex bought the Her Majesty a singing toy hamster that left Harry's grandmother in "hysterics." Everybody laugh especially when the Queen's corgis tried to take hold of the toy and the monarch said the toy could keep her dogs a company.
They will be skipping Christmas at Sandringham this year. Instead, they will spend it with baby Archie and Meghan's mother, Doria Ragland. This Christmas will be the couple's first as a family.
Meghan and Harry had spent the last two Christmases with the Queen and the rest of the royal family in Norfolk. It is not unusual for the family members to spend the holidays elsewhere. Prince William and Kate Middleton had also skipped a couple of Christmases with the Queen. They sometimes celebrate the holidays with Kate's parents.
