Aside from the iPhone 12, another heavily rumored upcoming device is the iPhone SE 2. Several sites have been sharing predictions from tech insiders and tipsters about the compact and affordable iPhone arriving in 2020. One of the earlier rumors surrounding the budget-friendly iPhone is that it will resemble the iPhone 8, but a report encourages Apple engineers to check out a new concept video which shows the upcoming device looking strikingly the same as the recently released iPhone 11.

The Cupertino tech giant certainly has a lot of plans for the iPhone SE 2 for next year. However, Concepts iPhone has a different perspective of what the budget-friendly iPhone for 2020 would look like. The video, which you can find below, shows that the iPhone SE 2 will not have a visible home button.

Instead, the upcoming iPhone sports a full-screen display in Midnight green variant. It looks like a downgraded version of the iPhone 11 Pro with a dual-camera rendered at the rear and not the triple camera configuration that we have seen in the premium Apple iPhone. It is surprising to see a 3.5mm audio jack on the concept video of the iPhone SE 2.

It could be recalled that Apple removed the jack when it launched the iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus in 2016. The video creator seems optimistic that the port is coming back in 2020, but, we do not think the Cupertino company has any plans of bringing back the audio jack. Apple is currently marketing AirPods Pro as the best wireless noise-canceling earbuds. So, bringing back the audio jack might not be the right approach fitting on the company's current business practices.

Also, it is worth noting that several reports earlier claimed that Apple is planning to remove the Lightning port on 2021 iPhones. Rumors claim that the Cupertino tech giant would like to make the 2021 iPhone be a totally wireless iPhone. Again, if this is accurate, the concept's audio jack returning next year is highly unlikely.

At this point, we could only watch the concepts available online if we want to see the possible design of the iPhone SE 2. The actual launch of the budget-friendly iPhone is anticipated to happen next year. TFI analyst and reliable Apple tipster Ming-Chi Kuo claim that the Cupertino juggernaut is also planning to release a larger version of the iPhone SE 2, which will be reportedly called iPhone SE 2 Plus. The bigger sibling of the much-awaited iPhone model is expected to arrive in 2021.
