Tesla CEO Elon Musk earlier said that construction of the Tesla Gigafactory 4 would start soon. The massive electric vehicle factory is projected to produce 500,000 Tesla Y and Tesla Model 3 units per year. A new report from Germany recently claims that the expansive factory will have its very own train station.

German publication Bild shared what seemed to be the layout of Tesla Gigafactory 4, which will be situated in Brandenburg, a town approximately an hour east of Berlin. The photo shows several components of the forthcoming facility. This includes seat assembly, drivetrain assembly, battery assembly, and final assembly area.

Surprisingly, it reveals a train station and a potential Autobahn exit. The electric vehicle maker has not confirmed nor denied the information recently shared by Bild. However, if this pans out, it will prove that Tesla Gigafactory 4 will be the company's most efficient facility by far.

A train station within Tesla Gigafactory 4 offers the company ease in transporting cargo materials. Access to the Autobahn, on the other hand, will facilitate easy vehicle deliveries. Moreover, workers from nearby towns would find it easier to get into the Tesla factory.

Recent job listings suggest that the electric car maker might have a plan of producing its own battery cells in Tesla Gigafactory 4. The listing states that the company is looking for a senior process engineering lead to help create novel detailed designs for a wide range of systems. This includes electrolyte to high purity water involving unit operations like pump and compressor systems, distillation, reverse osmosis, and heat transfer fluid systems, among others.

The company's plan to build the Tesla Gigafactory 4 was shared by Elon Musk last month when he visited Germany for the Golden Steering Wheel Awards. Reports claim that TeslaTesla will produce around 500,000 units every year in its 741-acre facility. The purchase contract for the Gigafactory 4 is anticipated to be completed before 2019 ends.

Several local reporters also claimed that TeslaTesla is planning on investing a whopping $4.41 billion into Gigafactory 4 that will boost the economy of the country. The forthcoming tesla facility is anticipated to create 3,000 jobs initially and will ramp up to 8,000 jobs eventually. Elon Musk earlier predicted that TeslaTesla would be able to produce one million units in a year by 2020.

The Tesla Gigafactory 4 is anticipated to be operational in 2021. Aligning this with Musk's production capacity vision, the one million production capacity is more likely to happen in 2021. By that time, TeslaTesla has all four facilities up and running.
