Despite having a tough 2019 because of the US-China trade war, Huawei is not backing down. In fact, several reports reveal that the Chinese tech giant is preparing to launch its next-generation flagship smartphone in the early part of 2020. A leak claims that the Huawei P40 will be a revolutionary smartphone with features that could easily defeat Samsung Galaxy S11.
A new set of details from a tipster reveals the specs and features of Huawei P40. The leak claims that the next flagship handset from Huawei will feature a five-camera configuration. It will reportedly sport a 64 MP Sony IMX686 with image stabilization paired with a 20-megapixel ultra-wide sensor.
The three other camera specs include a Time of Flight sensor, a macro camera, and a 12-megapixel telephoto lens. In addition to the 5-camera configuration, the Huawei P40, according to the tipster, will have a 120 Hz refresh rate. It will reportedly support 4K video recording contrasting previous rumors that it will feature 8K video recording support.
As for its design, the leaked specs claim that the Huawei P40 will have two sensors housed by a dual-punch hole in the front of the device. These reportedly are consist of an ultra-wide camera sensor and another main camera sensor. The next flagship smartphone from Huawei is also anticipated to have an OLED screen with a Waterfall screen, but not as curved as that featured in Huawei Mate 30 Pro.
That not all, the leak also reveals that the Huawei P40 will have a feature rumored to be in the Samsung Galaxy S11. Rumors claim that Samsung is planning to launch the Galaxy S11 with an extremely smooth display supporting a refresh rate of 120 Hz. Interestingly, the next flagship smartphone from Huawei will also have the same refresh rate.
Moreover, the Huawei P40 will reportedly have a screen to body ratio of 98 percent. While it may sound a bit of an overkill, it appears that Huawei has another hardware upgrade that would ensure none of its impressive features would be compromised. According to a separate leak, the upcoming handset will pack a 5500 mAh battery pack, which is made of graphene materials.

A high refresh rate would rapidly drain the battery of the Huawei P40 and the Chinese tech giant made sure that it will not be compromised by insufficient juice. Other leaked details about Huawei's next flagship smartphone reveal that it will house Kirin 990 5G. The Huawei P40 is anticipated to arrive next year, but at this point, we do not have the specific release date yet.
