It was just a month ago when the world witnessed the official unveiling of the Tesla Cybertruck, which is by far, the first of its kind in terms of specs, features, and design. The hype about the revolutionary and uniquely designed all-electric pickup truck from Tesla seems to be increasing by the day. Fans entertain a lot of possibilities for the upcoming pickup truck from Tesla and the latest involves sending the Cybertruck to space aboard the SpaceX Starship.

Could we send the Tesla Cybertruck to Mars aboard the SpaceX? If the latest ramblings of Tesla CEO Elon Musk is of any indication, then the answer to that is a resounding YES. The Cybertruck was one of the CEO's musings on the social networking site Twitter, which many fans previously thought as a joke. But, with the unveiling of the Cybertruck, we learned that Musk's ramblings on the social networking site are sometimes serious.

On Twitter, the Tesla CEO responded to a tweet shared by justpaulinlol that revealed a Falcon Heavy carrying the Tesla Cybertruck during a launch. According to the user, it would be beyond epic to launch the upcoming all-electric pickup truck on space and make it space cyber. While the idea seems bizarre, but the executive has a form in sending Tesla vehicles into orbit.

In Feb. 2018, Falcon Heavy rocket was launched, and he sent his personal Tesla Roadster as a payload. Since then, the rocket has completed a couple more conventional missions. These are the Arabsat-6A mission in Apr. 2019 and the STP-2, which happened in Jun. 2019.

Sending the Tesla Cybertruck in space would be very impressive, but the nagging question its, where? There is a high likelihood that the Cybertruck could be sent to Mars. Elon Musk earlier said that a pressurized version would be the official pickup truck of the Mars city efforts of the company, which is anticipated to develop a full-fledged outpost as early as 2050.

The SpaceX Starship has a calculated payload capacity of 220,000 pounds and can scale up further to a staggering 330,000 pounds. The spaceship seems perfect to carry the Tesla Cybertruck that is presumed weighty because of its material components. While the tweet is just one of the many things that Elon Musk said online, it would be great to witness this event soon.

Meanwhile, Tesla recently changed the production timeline of both the expensive and less expensive trims of the Tesla Cybertruck. The more expensive trims will commence its production in 2021, while the base model will begin production in 2022.
