Kate Middleton, the Duchess of Cambridge, has become quite the calm and confident royal. Over the years, she has transformed and grown at ease into her royal duties that she's showing the world just how much she's a worthy "Queen in Waiting."
Body language expert Judi James analyzed how Kate has changed from being nervous and uneasy in public to being relaxed and warm around people. James said that Kate's body language today is "always immaculate" that it's hard to image she was once uncomfortable.
The expert compared two photos of the Duchess of Cambridge from 2015 to the most recent Diplomatic Reception at Buckingham Palace this December. She said that there have been dramatic changes to Kate's body language at the identical events.
In the 2015 banquet, Kate was an "anxious-looking guest." Four years later, she exuded a hosting role in the 2019 banquet that made her appear not just a future queen but almost like the current queen.
James said that Kate greeted the guests comfortably by leaning over and engaging them in animated conversations. She had strong eye contact and active listening skills. When she raised her eyebrows and laughed, she conveyed humor and interest to the Queen's guests.
Kate learned these skills and charisma from watching Queen Elizabeth herself. Her Majesty also possesses the same ability to make her guests feel comfortable around her presence.
Royal fans also cannot help but notice that Kate really stepped it up this year by being very regal and mature in mingling with very important guests. The Duchess of Cambridge is destined to become the Queen Consort by virtue of her marriage to Prince William, the second in line to the throne.
Meanwhile, royal expert Katie Nicholl said that Kate and Queen Elizabeth have such an easy relationship. Nicholl revealed that Her Majesty loves the time she spends with Prince William's wife because she gets an update about her great grandchildren.
The Queen also respects Kate for being a hands-on mother to her three kids. The monarch also appreciates the Duchess of Cambridge because she makes the Queen involved in the lives of her children.
This Christmas, Kate, Prince William and the Cambridge children are going to Sandringham with the rest of the royal family. The fact that they are putting the royal family first makes Queen Elizabeth even more appreciative of Kate, as she juggles her royal duties and motherhood with much success.
