Meghan Markle and Prince Harry are currently spending a six-week break in the United States. They spent the Thanksgiving holiday with Meghan's family and will likely spend Christmas with her mother, Doria Ragland, in Los Angeles as well.

The break is supposed to give Prince Harry and Meghan the chance to recharge after telling the world that they have been struggling under the media's scrutiny of their royal life. However, royal expert Eliot Wilson, said that this whole idea could backfire with the public as it ran counter to their claims that they've had a difficult year.

Wilson said that two things might happen after Prince Harry and Meghan's six-week holiday.  The public could support the idea of royals having a "time out" from the prying eyes of the media. On the other hand, the public may also see this as a privilege since members of the royal family can't be complaining about their life in the media when their lifestyle is funded by taxpayers' money.

The expert argued that some workers, such as nurses, policemen and firefighters, don't get a six-week break. The royals, whose jobs are mostly to shake hands and present plaques to organizations, hardly "constitutes a hard life."

Wilson said that time will tell if Prince Harry and Meghan will be judged correctly for maintaining a private life as public figures. The biggest issue for now, however, is how the people will react to their Christmas holiday plans.

Meanwhile, Daily Mail reported that Meghan Markle was still on working mode in the United States despite her holiday break. She allegedly met with Hollywood publicist Thomas Morgan, who was also a guest at her May 2018 wedding to Prince Harry in London.

Sources apparently told the news outlet that the Duchess of Sussex is cooking up a plan to expand Sussex Royal, The Foundation in the United States. Meghan is reportedly preparing for a big launch that will tap the resources of her friends in Hollywood.

If all comes together, Sussex Royal's project should be launched by spring or summer of 2020. Yet there has been no official word about this expansion from the palace nor the Sussex Royal Instagram. A spokesperson for the couple denied the reports and stated that Prince Harry and Meghan are really having a downtime abroad. They haven't been meeting with people they can potentially work with, according to Us Weekly
