Before she became part of the royal family, followers of Meghan Markle could easily take a peek into her life via her defunct blogsite The Tig. In one old post, the former American TV actress, who would become the Duchess of Sussex when she married Prince Harry, had a Christmas gift guide that included suggestions on what to give a boyfriend or husband.

Meghan wrote in this guide that giving a shirt to your beau is actually too easy. So, the Duchess of Sussex suggested an even better gift as she told her blog readers to have "something creative" for their partners to enjoy. She described her selections as "little gems" that the men will actually enjoy.

Among these gifts included a Crosley radio turntable, a box set of Happy Socks, a wash bag from Alphabet Bags with the words "Exceptionally Handsome" written on it, a Miri Hardey Pottery personalised shaving mug, and a Brookstone pocket projector. The gift choices look practical and especially useful to Prince Harry, who will likely enjoy the pocket projector for his photos from South Africa.

The couple could also have plenty of uses for the turntable since Prince Harry and Meghan are apparently big music lovers. Prince Harry, on the other hand, will likely give his wife jewelry for Christmas especially since Meghan Markle is fond of wearing fine but simple gold pieces.

This holiday will be a big deal for Meghan and Prince Harry as their son, Archie Harrison, who is now eight months old, will be celebrating Christmas for the very first time. The Sussex family are currently in the United States to have their first holiday with Meghan's mother Doria Ragland and some of the duchess' close friends.

Last year and the previous year, Prince Harry and Meghan joined the royal family at the traditional Christmas lunch hosted by Queen Elizabeth in Sandringham. The royals also gave gifts to each other for Christmas. Only, they give gag gifts or humorous presents instead of precious items.

Meanwhile, Meghan could be preparing the Christmas table spread at her mother's place since they won't have royal cooks and kitchen helpers this year. The duchess likes hosting her own festive parties even before she got married.

The duchess likes to keep things simple and do everything in white as much as possible for a clean look. She puts accents on the Christmas table using flowers. She also likes to prepare her special holiday cocktail of almond milk, bourbon and cinnamon.
