Former U.S. First Lady Michelle Obama is still doing her part to make a difference and change a world. She recently had a sit down with Vietnamese-American actress Lana Condor as they figure out ways to inspire young girls in Asian communities.

Obama's recent initiative to help remove the barriers among young Asian women received praises from her followers on Twitter. The mother-of-two young women shared the photo with Condor and the ladies on the social media platform.

The post was filled with commendations for the former First Lady for leading by example. Many of her followers also thanked Obama for keeping on empowering women.

In early December, Obama traveled with some special guests to Vietnam and Malaysia to put the spotlight on girls' education. Her special guests included former presidential daughter Jenna Bush Hager and top Hollywood star Julia Roberts, per People.

The influential ladies met with beneficiaries of the programs of the local girls' education organizations. They also had a sit-down conversation with the audience to talk about the lessons they've learned in their successful careers.

Obama said that there are around 98 million teenage girls around the world who do not have the opportunity to go to school. The Obama Foundation and the former First Lady have been working and tapping grassroots leaders in various corners of the world to change this statistic.

Meanwhile, Obama recently threw her support for 16-year-old climate change activist and Time Magazine's Person of the Year Greta Thunberg after President Donald Trump ridiculed her online. The wife of former President Barack Obama told Thunberg that she must not let anyone dim her light. Obama also told Thunberg to ignore the people who doubt her, especially when there are millions of other people cheering her on.

Trump posted a tweet to say that Thunberg needs to deal with her anger management problem by watching a movie to chill with a friend. Thunberg has been diagnosed with Asperger's syndrome but she has been staunchly raising awareness about the dangers of climate change.

Speaking of climate change, Obama also called on the leaders of the world to act now or risk-bearing grave consequences later on. In her visits to the two Asian nations, she emphasized that island countries could disappear as the sea levels rise due to climate change. She emphasized educating communities about these problems so that people will know the risks, plan and prepare for the future.
