As the year draws to a close, Apple has done a lot of great things for the Mac, particularly on the professional and high-end side of things. The changes the company introduced both small and big are positive and underlines the willingness of the Cupertino giant to listen to consumers' concerns and provide the kind of products that they want. But, there are still things that need to be addressed, especially in Apple's MacBook Pro; here are some of them that we think could help in making MacBook Pro 2020 a sure hit.

macOS Catalina

macOS Catalina was announced during the WWDC 2019 and was released to users in the early part of Oct. 2019. The new operating system put aside the loss of 32-bit support, which left many long-time users behind. The new OS introduced a lot of problems we hope we would not experience in MacBook Pro 2020.

This includes unexpected shutdowns, popping speakers, Apple ID issues, and installation hang-ups, to name a few. While Apple is currently addressing most of these issues, all of these must be fixed by the Cupertino company before it releases the 2020 MacBook Pro. While it is exciting to see a lot of shiny features, it is essential that Apple must fix first the basic features of the Mac pestered by bugs.

Dwindling Users' Trust

The number of loyal MacBook users instead of growth seems to be dwindling over the years. According to Forbes, this could be significantly due to the design decisions Apple made for its laptops over the years. The core of these problems has been mainly because of the scissor-switch keyboard, which proved to be unreliable over several MacBook Pro generations.

While Apple already dropped the controversial scissor-switch keyboard in the 16-inch MacBook Pro, we wish not to see it again in the 2020 MacBook Pro.

Weak Marketing Campaign

The MacBook pro addressed a lot of issues, including the thermal efficiency of the machine and improved speakers and microphones. Surprisingly, not many MacBook Pro users know this because these were not extensively promoted. Even the release of the powerful 16-inch MacBook Pro was not that grand the way Apple does it to its other products, particularly with iPhones.

The release of the 16-inch MacBook Pro was announced through a statement followed by a video advertising what it can do. Nothing explosive and spectacular for a machine with amazing power. Critics believe that while the 16-inch MacBook Pro is for the professional and high-end users, the fact that it was promoted extensively could allow other market segments to appreciate it.
