The Samsung Galaxy S11 series is one of the heavily leaked and widely rumored upcoming smartphones for 2020. Lately, a report claims that instead of the widely known Galaxy S11, the forthcoming flagship series will be called the Galaxy S20 series. Today, a new leaked image seemingly revealed the sizes of the models under the Samsung Galaxy S11 series.

The latest leak comes from the gadget sleuth and reliable tipster Ice Universe. On Twitter, the tipster shares an image showing the alleged protective films of the three variants of the Samsung Galaxy S11 series. Ice Universe is that same tipster who gave us the pictures of the alleged screen protectors of the Samsung Galaxy S11 series several days earlier.

The latest image of the protective films of the Samsung Galaxy S11 series would give us the idea of the size of each variant releasing under the series in 2020. Based on the image, it appears that the Samsung Galaxy S11e is smaller than the Samsung Galaxy S11. If earlier rumors pan out, it seems that the S11e will feature a 6.1-inch display, which is a significant leap from the 5.8-inch screen of its predecessor, the Samsung Galaxy S10e.

The Samsung Galaxy S11 and Galaxy S11 Plus are anticipated to feature a 6.7-inch display and a 6.9-inch display, respectively. Both also saw substantial size increases over the Galaxy S10 and Galaxy S10 Plus. The upcoming flagship smartphone series is rumored to feature a 120 Hz refresh rate and will reportedly pack more significant battery capacities.

The leaked image also reveals that the three variants of the Samsung Galaxy S11 series will feature curved edges and slimmer top and bottom bezels. All three protective films have cutouts at the top in the shape of notches, which will presumably house the front-facing speaker. This setup triggered speculations that the upcoming Samsung Galaxy S11 Series might feature sound on display screens.

The Seoul-based tech and electronics giant earlier showed displays that double as full speakers, but it has yet to introduce the functionality on any new phone. Korean tech company LG was able to pull it off with its flagship smartphone released earlier in 2019. The sound on display technology will enable smartphone makers to remove top bezels on all-screen devices, but it will definitely raise the smartphone's price.

If recent reports are to be believed, we can expect the official unveiling of the Samsung Galaxy S11 Series or Samsung Galaxy S20 series at Samsung's first big event in February 2020.
