Donald Trump is probably the hardest person to shop gifts for but it looks like he's also having a tough time coming up with a gift for his wife, Melania Trump. On Christmas Eve, the President of the United States said that he didn't have time to find the perfect present for Melania, so he gave him a "beautiful" Christmas card instead.
According to Daily Express, the president revealed his Christmas present to his wife after he was asked by U.S. military personnel during their meeting at the Mar-a-Lago club, the Trump's vacation spot in Florida. Apparently, Trump admitted that because was swamped with work even around the holidays, going shopping was the furthest from his mind.
The White House apparently still hasn't divulged what the President gave the First Lady, several days since that question was asked. Though Trump also said that he has to start working at finding a Christmas present for Melania.
Upon learning that Trump gave Melania just a card, some critics mocked the First Lady on Twitter. One said that she would also likely give Melania a card for Christmas but it will be a sympathy card, and not a Christmas card, for being married to the President.
Another social media netizen pointed out that Trump did the same thing for Melania's birthday. Last April, the President also said that he got Melania a birthday card when a reporter asked about his gift.
A critic said that he's actually convinced Donald no longer gives his wife presents during special occasions. Instead, the Twitter user is more curious about what Trump allegedly got his mistress.
It's no secret that a big part of the public thinks that the President of the United States' marriage to Melania, his wife of 14 years, is on the rocks. Early this year, the stripper Stormy Daniels came out in public and said that she had sexual relations with the billionaire businessman Donald Trump in 2006, while he was just married to Melania.
However, the President's son, Donald Jr., belied the speculations about his father's marriage. In the book "Inside the White House," the presidential son said that his father's relationship to the First Lady is actually doing quite well and it's only the media who is trying to split the relationship. For the son, the media is going after the First Lady's vulnerabilities since they cannot break the president.
