BTS’ dance line may only consist of three members (J-Hope, Jimin, and Jungkook, or better known as the 3J), but the rest of the boys are good at dancing as well. However, the 3J are given the title as the best dancers in the group as their skills are above the rest.
RM, Jin, Suga, J-Hope, Jimin, V, and Jungkook would be the first ones to admit to what they’re good and not good at. As for RM and Jin, they know that they are not the best dancers in the group. Although they improved a lot since their debut, they know that the other members, especially the 3J, are on the next level. But just because they’re not the best dancers, doesn’t mean that wouldn’t try some complex dance moves that the 3J do.
On December 31, 2019, BANGTANTV posted five videos on YouTube and one of them is titled “'Skool Luv Affair' stage practice behind the scenes - BTS.” The video started with RM already dancing wildly while J-Hope hyping him up even more, and Jungkook capturing everything with his mobile phone.
With two out of three members of 3J supporting and praising his dance moves, RM was inspired and got the courage to take his dance skills up a notch. Since he was wearing a baseball cap at the time, the BTS leader suddenly decided to imitate Jungkook’s famous “We Are Bulletproof Pt.2” hat trick.
After doing some choreography on the spot, RM took his hat off, dropped it, kicked it with his foot, and caught it with his hand like a true professional dancer. Although his hat trick routine was different from Jungkook’s, the rest of the BTS boys were so impressed with him that they all shouted and cheered. Even Suga, who is known for his straight face, couldn’t hide his emotions and screamed as well. He even did the hand gesture that meant: “it’s all over! RM won.”
Despite all the chaos that he caused with his hat trick, RM was unbothered and was still in the zone. The BTS star even added another trick with his feet. Even though he didn’t successfully do what he was planning to do, the rest of the BTS boys were still very impressed.
RM’s energy seemed to rub off on everyone, even the mostly quiet and timid Suga. He also made Jin and Jimin, who were sitting on the side, bust some moves as well.
The boys then watched the video that Jungkook took with his phone. They were all smiling from ear to ear, but when the clip of RM imitating Jungkook’s “We Are Bulletproof Pt.2” hat trick came up, they all loudly clapped and cheered for him. RM then can be seen and heard laughing at the back.
