JYP Entertainment will pursue the strongest legal action against a foreign stalker who attempted to get near TWICE Nayeon while on board a flight from Japan to Korea.  According to the label, Nayeon was shocked and uncomfortable after the incident but the agency assured that she was unharmed.

According to JYP, the foreign stalker tried to approach Nayeon multiple times resulting in feeling of discomfort and anxiety.

Due to the incident, Nayeon wil be placed under police protection. JYP said that prior to legal action, they attempted to warn the stalker to cease efforts to contact the TWICE member but he did not heed their warning.

"While we warned this stalker numerous times through police to halt his actions, the stalker ignored our warnings and even attempted proceed with his approach through force and by raising their voice, continuing the problematic behavior more severely," JYP Entertainment said in its statement.

JYP also reported that they are also investigating reports that artists' flight schedules and personal information are being sold and leaked illegally.

The label did not confirm whether the stalker was the same person as the foreign fan that has been attempting to contact Nayeon since October.

In a recent post, the alleged stalker shared his plans about meeting Nayeon, further alarming fans about his escalating behavior.

"6:53am, haven't slept yet, the next days will be kinda exhausting. BUT for some reason, whenever I walk outside hugging my bag with the gift inside, it gives me strength, it keeps me going and I know I will be able to deliver it to her some day. Hopefully soon. I love you Nayeon," he tweeted.

Due to the incident, ONCEs have warned other fans to stop engaging with the foreigner to keep him from getting the attention he wanted. However, they appealed to JYP Entertainment to become more vigilant against further attempts by the sasaeng to reach Nayeon.

It can be recalled that a foreign fan caused panic among fans last October with his seemingly delusional behavior and claims that he was Nayeon's boyfriend.

The situation escalated when he arrived in Korea last month and shared plans to connect with Nayeon. He denied being a stalker and claimed that he was being framed by JYP Entertainment. However, his recent behavior has been causing fans to become more alert.

JYP has announced that if the alleged stalker tries to get in contact with other fans in his attempt to reach Nayeon, he should be reported to fan@jype.com so they can proceed with charges.
