Prince William reportedly claimed the royal spotlight when his brother, Prince Harry, was away with her wife, Meghan Markle, in Canada. Amidst what seems to be a competition, a radio show host said that the Cambridges are better than the Sussexes, while Netizens said the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are good whoever is around.
According to Express, an unnamed royal commentator said that the second in line to the throne did a "superb job" while Prince Harry was away. He launched the most "prestigious environment prize in history" to give light to the climate change issue.
The future king also made a big announcement that kicked off an ambitious start and made revelations about his huge plans for 2020. Although Prince William and Kate Middleton had a successful 2019, it couldn't be denied that their activities were often overshadowed by the news about Prince Harry and Meghan Markle. Hence, they received lesser attention than that of his younger brother and his wife.
However, netizens defended Prince William, saying he always did his best whether Prince Harry was around or not. Twitter user @tips_talk noted that Kate Middleton's husband has "always been superb." He still shows love and dedication to charities and the British public.
Another one added that the Cambridges have an "admirable sense of duty," while @STELLA12467827 said that Prince William is reliable, dedicated, and mentally composed. @SpringBrad1 went on to say that Meghan Markle brainwashed prince Harry and he would never make it to the outside world without the RF.
"William is truly amazing. He has always been respectful and knew what his role was going to be. What I truly admire is how he prepared Kate for her role in the royal family," @TeamCambridge2 tweeted. "They know how to work with their public and respect everyone. Harry wasn't competitive till MM."
In addition, TalkRadio host Mike Graham also commended Prince William and Kate Middleton for always doing a "much better job" than Meghan Markle and Prince Harry. While talking to Evening Standard royal editor Rob Jobson, he said that the Cambridges are "more measured" compared to the Sussexes.
He, then, suggested that Prince Harry and Meghan Markle would possibly receive less criticism if they would start doing the job they had been asked to do. Jobson added that the best solution to all the issues surrounding them was to do their jobs, which Prince William and Kate Middleton had been doing all along so that the criticisms would die down.
