The CES 2020 introduced a lot of interesting products this year with a wide range of smartwatches making their debut at the event. Smart wearables with built-in trail maps, ECG monitors, and a plethora of exciting features are unveiled with low retail prices. Here is a rundown of some of the best smart wearables at this year's Consumer Electronics Show.
New Fossil Smartwatches: Gen 5, Hybrid HR, Sport
Fossil unveils its traditional deluge of smartwatches at the CES 2020. The company launches a new Fossil Gen 5 Garret model, Fossil Sport Jelly styles, new Gen 5 Julianna colors, and Fossil Hybrid Dive styles. The company also introduces a couple of new Hybrid HR Charter colors. Additionally, Fossil announces new custom battery modes to all the Fossil Gen 5 smartwatches powered by 3100.
Diesel Fadelite
The Diesel Fadelite is arguably the hottest smartwatch at this year's CES. It is not the most powerful standard even by the standards of Wear OS according to Android Authority, but it has one of the coolest colorways available. It is available in four models with easy on the eye design and translucent blue, clear, red, and black colors. The Diesel Fadelite is not only comfortable to wear but is also light. It appears that Diesel made sure the Fadelite series is not as bulky as the Axial lineup, which was primarily marketed to men.
Skagen Falster 3
The Skagen Falster series introduced at the CES 2020 features some of the prettiest smartwatches. The downside about Skagen wearables in the past is that they are not that powerful and longer-lasting. But, it seems that the company has already made several changes about this with the Skagen Falster 3 lineup.
The latest wearable series from Skalgen features impressive internals. It houses Qualcomm Snapdragon Wear 3100 SoC and a RAM of 1 GB, (talk about memory). This new configuration would allow the series for long-lasting and smooth performance.
But, that's not all; the company also threw in 8GB of app and music storage. Skagen now collaborates with KYGO, a well-known Norwegian DJ for the launch of the Skagen Falster 3. The series comes with a KYGO Edition with all other models featuring a KYGO watch face. Skagen Falster launches this January for $295.
Withings ScanWatch
During CES 2019, Withings impressed us with the Move and Move ECG, a couple of hybrid smartwatches with fun designs. This year, the company goes classy with ScanWatch. More than a style and design upgrade, the Withings ScanWatch comes with a built-in ECG that allows users to take ECG, as well as a SpO2 sensor that gauges the oxygen saturation level overnight. The company anticipates approval from the FDA and a CE clearance soon. When these happen, the Withings ScanWatch will be the only medically certified hybrid smartwatch that can detect early signs of arrhythmia and sleep apnea.
