As Prince Harry and Meghan Markle stated they are breaking away from the royal family, questions have been raised about the future of their son, Archie Harrison. Currently eight months old, the baby is still years away from entering formal school but he could be studying in America when the time comes.
Prince Harry and Meghan said that they will be raising Archie in both the United Kingdom and North America. While they will still live in Frogmore Cottage in Windsor when they are in London, the family might also take a second home in the United States or Canada to provide Archie a more balanced life.
Apart from this, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex did not mention any other details about how they will raise their son in both the U.K. and North America. Royal expert Katie Nicholl, however, thinks that Prince Harry and Meghan could be making plans to send Archie to a co-ed school in the United States.
Nicholl has insider information that Meghan is keen on instilling in her son her culture and heritage. The Duchess of Sussex was born and raised in Los Angeles, California but she might want still Archie to experience and recognize British holidays and festivities apart from the Americans' Thanksgiving and Independence Day.
The Sunday Times, however, reported that Archie might go to a school in London that's nearer to their house in Windsor. There is an American Community School in the area that looks like a potential choice for the Duke and Duchess of Sussex's son.
Nicholl said that Eton College is not going to be Prince Harry's choice even if he and his brother and Prince William attended this institution as children. Apparently, Prince Harry didn't love his experience in this British school.
Archie's older cousins Prince George and Princess Charlotte are attending school at Thomas's Battersea in west London. Prince Louis might also be enrolled at this school when he is of age.
Meanwhile, Archie remained in Canada with the nanny and Meghan's friend, Jessica Muroney, after the holidays. Apparently, the Sussexes didn't bring their son back to London from their Canadian holiday.
As a result, Meghan has flown back to Canada to be with her son after barely staying in London for a week. Prince Harry, on the other hand, is still in the city and has a royal commitment on Jan. 16. It is understood that Meghan will soon return with Archie from Canada.
