Last year, the only confirmation fans heard about the Pocophone is that the team will share more news in 2020. Despite the lack of official announcements about the popular flagship killer smartphone, leaks and speculations are rife online. But, it seems that a new set of images leaked online may have revealed some details about the POCO F2 that fans would love to know.
Last week, POCO announced that it's now independent of Xiaomi. Fans were hopeful that following the move, more news about the highly awaited POCO F2 would be available. If the recent images are to go by, it seems that POCO F2 might release in several variants.
Alleged live images of POCO F2 Lite are now available online. It does not only confirms the official name of the smartphone but also hints that it may be released in various models. The new set of images was shared by YouTuber RevAtlas.
Based on the leak, the POCO F2 Lite might feature a waterdrop notch. The alleged live images also show the 'About' section of the upcoming smartphone, which reveals some of its specs. The POCO F2 houses Qualcomm Snapdragon 765 SoC.
The major feature of this particular model, according to Qualcomm, is its 5G wireless network connectivity support. Because of this, many claims that the POCO F2 Lite might feature 5G support. It is worth mentioning that the images could be fake.
Since we have no way of verifying the credibility of the images, we suggest taking these details with a pinch of salt. In January alone, several leaks surfaced online, revealing information about the POCO F2. One of these is the trademark application of the POCO F2 filed in China.
It triggered speculations that the POCO F2 might arrive next month or in March based on the release pattern of the company. But, the trademark filing raised many concerns, including the question of filing it in China, where the brand is non-existent. However, it turns out that Xiaomi did the same to trademark filing with Pocophone F1.
Meanwhile, for those unaware of the recent news about the POCO brand, Xiaomi announced a few days ago that POCO is now an independent company. POCO, which began as a sub-brand, has earned its own identity in just a short period, says Vice President, and Xiaomi India Managing Director Manu Kumar Jain.
POCO F1 is a very popular smartphone in various market segments and is a top contender in its category even until this year. The company feels that it is the right time to allow the brand to operate independently, the executive shares.
