When the next iPhone series is released, a new color option is said to be added in the mix of fresh features that should give the upcoming device bits of executive touch. This classic new finish will be known as Navy Blue and likely will be limited to the premium tier of the iPhone 12.
Tech tipster Max Weinbach is claiming that when the iPhone 12 debuts, Navy Blue will be part of the deal. It is expected that the most expensive versions of the line will come in four colors, and one will be made available in the finish mentioned.
If the Weinbach prediction proves correct, a Navy Blue iPhone 12 will be headlining the pack, and it will bump off the Midnight Green that was introduced with the iPhone 11 last year.
To be clear, BGR said that while Weinbach can boast of credibility as he previously issued forecasts that turned out as true, a few misses were also attributed to him. That should mean the new color finish might just come true, or it could amount to nothing.
But if his claim will be for real, it can be assumed that Navy Blue is designed for the iPhone 12 Pro and the iPhone 12 Pro Max.
Surely, a Navy Blue iPhone 12 will be immediately embraced, but it would not hurt if Apple can make the finish available along with the popular Midnight Green, according to WCCFTech. Such dark color treatments quickly gained traction in the iPhone world, so hopefully, Apple would take notice and keep selling the best of the line.
It will be months before the actual iPhone 12 unboxing will happen, but already, many of the specs and features to be unloaded with the upcoming installment have been leaked out. It is believed there will be three variants of the line boasting of three screen sizes - 5.4-inch, 6.1-inch, and 6.7-inch.
A fourth version is said to be in the works, too, likely bearing a 6.7-inch display but distinct due to 5G connectivity support.
All these new handsets will be unveiled in September this year, in keeping with the normal release cycle of Apple. That should also mean that the iPhone 12 fall introduction will be followed by the actual commercial release in October though there were rumors that the 5G variant will not hit the market until December or early January 2021.
However, before the iPhone 12 sees the light of the day, the iPhone SE 2 is thought to coming out in the first quarter of 2020. Production of the budget device will start in February, and the release date will be in March, by which time the device will take the iPhone 9 as its official label.
