Ellen DeGeneres and Portia de Rossi have been rumored to be heading for divorce ever since they got married in 2008. It was reported that they had the worst in their relationship last year and the couple intends to change that this year hence they are allegedly setting some "relationship rules."
According to Star, DeGeneres and de Rossi would like this year to have a fresh start in their marriage. The outlet alleged that the famous couple has set some "relationship rules" to save their marriage following a rocky 2019.
"They've decided to banish all negativity from their lives... No more jealousy, no more bickering, and more date nights!" a source told the tabloid.
The Emmy-winning host reportedly also vowed to her wife that she will be a better listener while the Scandal actress promised to be more patient with Ellen's busy schedule. The alleged source claimed the couple made a commitment to make each other the priority from now on and it has been working as their relationship greatly improved.
It added that Ellen and Portia have also realized that they need to stop living separate lives. It can be recalled that another tabloid, the Globe, earlier claimed that DeGeneres and de Rossi have saved their marriage for living separately for a while.
The outlet said the couple has managed to reignite the spark in their marriage after they've tried not living together. Ellen and Portia are allegedly more in sync now as they vowed to each other to stop the jealousy and bickering.
Gossip Cop noted that it is hard to believe in Star's stories about DeGeneres and de Rossi as it had made several phony ones in the past. A few months ago, it falsely claimed that the couple's marriage is falling apart after the Finding Dory star refused to quit her show and move to Australia with de Rossi.
Early last year, it also claimed that DeGeneres was secretly plotting an escape from her marriage to de Rossi. There was also a claim that de Rossi was on the verge of divorcing Ellen after the latter defended Kevin Hart when the comedian caught up in a controversy about his old homophobic tweets that made him decide to step down as host of 2019 Oscars.
Gossip Cop noted that DeGeneres and de Rossi have proven time and time again that they don't have marriage troubles. In fact, de Rossie has been constantly sharing photos of her and the TV host, showing how happy they are in their marriage. They have also bought a new house together.
According to Architectural Digest, the couple recently purchased a $3.6 million estate in Montecito, California. The property is composed of two buildings that were constructed in England during the mid-1700s and later shipped to the U.S.
