There is no denying that Blake Shelton and Gwen Stefani are among the hottest celebrity couples these days. It has been over four years since they announced that they are dating and, until now, their fans are still waiting for their engagement announcement.
Many are hoping that the much-awaited engagement would be happening at the recent 62nd Annual Grammy Awards. But, it didn't.
During the awards show, the couple had a very romantic duet of their latest single "Nobody But You." As soon as The Voice judges appeared on stage and the audience at the venue and at home saw Gwen's gown, the anticipation shot to the roof that Shelton could finally go down on his knee and pop the question.
However, the couple left their fans disappointed when no ring was put on Gwen's finger. Nonetheless, their fans were pleased with their romantic performance.
"Don't even lie... y'all were hoping @blakeshelton was gonna get down on one knee during that performance!" a fan wrote. "Really thought #BlakeShelton and #GwenStefani we're going to be live married on the #GRAMMYs," another commented.
Prior to their "Nobody But You" stage, the No Doubt singer and Shelton walked into the red carpet looking very much in love with each other. The couple talked about their latest single but what caught the attention of fans was how the two dodged the questions about marriage.
Entertainment Tonight's Kevin Frazier first asked Blake if Gwen is "still his girlfriend." The "God's Country" singer jokingly replied he hasn't seen the tabloids yet so he is not aware where their relationship is at the moment.
When the "Used to Love You" singer started gushing how Shelton is her favorite person on Earth, Frazier asked the country singer once again how he is still not putting a ring on his girlfriend's ring. Gwen hilariously replied that there is no longer room for another ring on her hand as she showed her fingers filled with accessories.
For so long, Stefani and Shelton have been rumored to have engaged and already on the planning stage of their wedding. But, up to this moment, no official announcement has come from the couple themselves.
In a June 2019 interview of Entertainment Tonight with Blake, he also addressed the wedding rumors. He assured their fans that he and Gwen are very much happy together. He added that if it will come a time that they would be making a wedding announcement, their fans wouldn't find it out on tabloids.
