It is interesting that despite the numerous indications that it is essentially a souped up version of the iPhone 8, the iPhone SE 2 has been capturing the imagination of many smartphone users, and obviously on the iOS side. The latest on the rumored device seemed to confirm it is the second coming of the 2017 iPhone release.
From device concept creator Svetapple, the iPhone SE 2 was imagined as the enhanced iPhone 8, which is true as far as the inner specifications are concerned. Like in previous claims, the upcoming device will be powered by the iPhone 11-era A13 Bionic mobile processor, which is paired with 3GB of RAM.
Such headline specs should scream that the SE 2 will be a powerful mobile tool, and there is no question about the latest iOS 13 version running the show.
The new render also listed the specs that already have been the subject of previous reports, and needless to say, they are between above decent and premium. If the speculations are to be believed, Apple has designed the SE 2 to still reflect the company signature of no compromise in terms of quality.
So expect only of a top-notch release even if the iPhone SE 2 is said to be the tech giant's relatively affordable bet in the smartphone market.
As for the design and build, the Svetapple concept did not veer away from the iPhone 8 profile. Pretty much, it is identical front and back, according to WCCFTech.
However, the real game-changer about the iPhone SE 2 is the pricing. Well-known Apple analyst Ming-chi Kuo has made claims the new device will sell with the original pricing of the first version, which is $399. And for that price, the base model will unbox with a built-in storage of 64GB.
It's possible that a 128GB model will be offered as well, and this could carry a price tag of $499.
In a report, CNET agrees that the iPhone SE 2 pricing model will be key to how the handset will be received. If indeed the device will turn out as the cheapest of the existing iPhone series, then it will be steps ahead into gaining success.
That's because a more accessible pricing for the iPhone SE 2 will make it easier for long-time Apple users to remain in the vaunted iOS ecosystem. With the sticker price more affordable, the SE 2 could finally convince the holdouts - those who still own the iPhone 6 up to the iPhone 8 - to finally make the jump, the report said.
Rumors have it that Apple will commence on mass-producing the iPhone SE 2 in February, and according to GSM Arena, the initial shipment will be around six million units. This will be followed by a March 2020 release date, and there are suggestions that handset will be called the iPhone 9 once unboxed.
