Camilla Parker-Bowles is one of the royals who have been quite busy with duties and responsibilities after the Megxit deal. This week, she reportedly attended various events and visited institutions, including especially the Barnardo's Child and Sexual Abuse and Exploitation Services. It was also shared that she is, currently, the President of the organization.
During her visit, several reports revealed that the Duchess seemingly enjoyed her time with the kids and the staff. It was even noted how she made everyone laugh because of an unusual joke. As claimed, she stated that she would "steal" a kid's toy if it will not be taken back from her.
According to Woman and Home, the scenario was deemed as a "cheeky" moment for Duchess Camilla. A young child, reportedly, went to the royal and shared about her "squishy fiddle toy." The little girl was said to attest that this specific toy of hers helps her to "calm down" when she is feeling stressed and "anxious."
Prince Charles' wife reportedly made a funny remark as a response to the little girl. She stated that she also needed that toy. So, if she would not take the toy back from her, she would "steal it away" instead.
As noted by the publication, the whole "sweet" and funny moment between the Duchess and the little girl was caught on camera, which then posted by royal reporter, Emily Andrews, on social media. The reporter was also said to attest that some of the kids even drew a portrait of Duchess Camilla.
The exercise was, then, revealed to be an "ice-breaker" utilized by experts at Barnardo's for the kids and visitors who have never met before. In it, each child will be given only a minute or less to draw a section of the whole portrait.
For the Duchess' portrait, reports said that it took four kids to finish the whole sketch. It was even shared that the kids wanted to draw the royal's hair and eyes blue to complement the blue coat she wore that day.
Hours before Duchess Camilla's visit at the institution, Express UK reported that the Duchess of Cornwall was with Prince Charles for the annual Royal Dinner "thrown" for the British Asian Trust. As stated, the trust was founded by the Prince of Wales, along with other British Asian business leaders, in 2007.
The same publication also revealed that Kate Perry made an attendance in the event. The reason being is that the celebrity singer has been now named as the newest Ambassador of the Trust.
