A look at the next major Apple mobile operating systems is in the works with reports that beta versions iOS 13.4 and iPad 13.4 are now available to developers. The release comes just one week after the Cupertino company rolled out the iOS 13.1.1.

Developers who want to check out the next mobile OS can do so via the Apple Developer center or over the air. The proper developer profile needs to be installed. Per Mac Rumors, the proper configuration file needs to be installed especially for the ones who are using the iPhone 11, 11 Pro and Pro Max.

There are several new features to expect from iOS 13.4. Among the new features reportedly include iCloud Folder Sharing, new Emoji stickers and an updated Mail toolbar among others. Some other things to expect could include some minor design changes and bug fixes that iOS 13.1.1 still carries.

Other interesting features that Apple device owners may see is the rumored inclusion of CarPlay and the CarKey features. Per Mac World, this could be an interesting feature where an iPhone or an Apple Watch could be used to lock, unlock or even start their car. For car manufacturers, this is an API that could assist in building apps that can be integrated with Wallet.

Another rumored iOS feature to watch out is the combined iOS and Mac purchases. This feature would allow Apple developers to sell iPhones or iPads that would be bundled together. The new Xcode 11.4 beta automatically enables “unified purchases” for new Catalyst-based apps. It could also be a hint that the Cupertino company is planning to align categories for both the Mac and iOS App Store.

Lastly, one rumored feature was support for lower cost iPhones. It is believed that an iPhone SE 2 and/or iPhone 9 will be coming out in March. Should that happen, it will be interesting if the iOS 13.4 would have proper support for the said models and if they would be bug-free.

In a previous post, iOS 13.1.1 did address some bugs such as privacy update and the case involving the U11 Ultra Wideband chip. With the feature not available to all regions, that option can now be toggled on or off.

Updating to iOS 13.1.1 also raised issues on performance. Some have complained about their phones experiencing lag although the next big Apple OS update can hopefully resolve that as well. Expect more bugs to be revealed by developers, something the Cupertino company is likely to keep tabs on moving forward.
