There is little doubt that living together for several years has made the members of SEVENTEEN a truly close-knit bunch. But can they identify each other simply by hearing a particular member's laugh? Jeonghan has proven that he knows his fellow members all too well. Although he made a mistake at first, it only took another try for Yoon Jeonghan to successfully identify his dongsaengs.
SEVENTEEN fans already know that Jeonghan is one of the members who act as the "parents" of the group along with leader S.Coups. After all, he is the second eldest member of the group and always acts as a responsible brother to his dongsaengs. Interestingly, Yoon Jeonghan also enjoys playing pranks on the other idols and loves making them laugh. With that in mind, it should be easy for him to remember how everyone laughs.
In the latest episode of IF SEVENTEEN, Jeonghan continued playing games along with Hoshi, Mingyu, DK, Seungkwan, and Dino. In one challenge, the idols had to identify four of the other members based only on their laughs. At first, Yoon Jeonghan agreed to get a hint if he could properly imitate a frog although he failed. As punishment, the lead vocalist had to do aegyo and was provided a hint: one of the laughs belonged to Dokyeom. Unfortunately, Jeonghan still got the first name wrong and it allowed the other members to try their luck.
Interestingly, Mingyu, Hoshi, and DK all got the wrong answers as well so the staff agreed to replay the laugh tracks. This time, Jeonghan confidently provided the correct answer for each laugh. The first one was unmistakeably The8, the second laugh was a subtle one from Mingyu, the third was DK's and the last one was Joshua's soft laughter. His answers were so precise that the other members were baffled when he correctly identified the second laugh.
It's no surprise that Jeonghan made a mistake at first. After all, Mingyu's laughter was so subtle that even Kim Mingyu himself didn't recognize his own laughter. However, it is still great to see that Yoon Jeonghan only needed a few playbacks to identify his fellow SEVENTEEN members' laughter.
SEVENTEEN have taken a short break after the Northern America leg of their Ode To You world tour. They are expected to resume with their first stop in Southeast Asia being in Manila, Philippines on February 8.
