Princess Beatrice has been quietly preparing her wedding to her fiancé, Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi. The Queen's granddaughter and her Italian beau announced their engagement last September 2019.

Following the announcement, however, Princess Beatrice, who is said to be quite a private person, has been mum about the details to her wedding. Buckingham Palace hasn't even released an official statement about the royal event.

However, there have been speculations that Princess Beatrice and Edo will exchange vows on May 29. Reports also stated that Queen Elizabeth offered Buckingham Palace as her wedding reception as a morale boost. The last time a royal wedding reception took place in the Queen's official home was during Prince William and Kate Middleton's 2011 wedding.

With the date and the reception locked down come the speculation about their wedding ceremony. According to Daily Express, it looks like Princess Beatrice and Edo would have their actual wedding at the St. Margaret's Church in Westminster since it is the closest to Buckingham Palace.

Several royal personalities and VIPs were married in this historical church. For instance, Former Prime Minister Sir Winston Churchill said "I do" to Clementine Hozier at St. Margaret's Church many decades ago. Princess Beatrice's great-grandfather, Lord Louis Mountbatten, who is Prince Philip's beloved uncle, married socialite Edwina Cynthia Annette Ashley at this church as well. Queen Elizabeth's nephew, David Armstrong-Jones, also got married at St. Margaret's Church to Serena Stanhope.

The church, however, is easily accessible to the public. Hence it is not always the first choice for royal weddings, especially if privacy is necessary. While Princess Beatrice and Edo's wedding ceremony venue is still merely a speculation, royal experts said that the York royal prefers a low-key affair than her sister, Princess Eugenie, who married in 2018 to Jack Brooksbank. In fact, Princess Beatrice's wedding will not be televised live.

Meanwhile, reports stated that Princess Beatrice and Edo have been delaying the announcements of their royal wedding due Prince Andrew's controversies. According to The Sun, the Duke of York chose not to be visible at his daughter's engagement party at the popular Chiltern Firehouse last December so as not to attract media interest.

Prince Andrew has also been keeping it low-key since he resigned indefinitely from his royal duties in November. The son of Queen Elizabeth's ties to his friend, the deceased pedophile and sex trafficker Jeffrey Epstein, has received a massive backlash from the public.

However, Queen Elizabeth apparently wants the royal family to put up a united front at Princess Beatrice's wedding amid the controversies. Thus, even Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are expected to be at the royal event.
