Samsung Unpacked Event 2020

According to a new report, all the camera crew members were handed the Samsung Galaxy S20 Ultra during the event. The smartphones were positioned on specially made mounts that offer stability and better handling. Unknown to many, the press conference was live-streamed in Full HD resolution on the company's YouTube channel using the S20 Ultra.

It is Samsung's way of promoting its latest flagship smartphone series, particularly the S20 Ultra, which is capable of shooting almost flawless videos. There are several other products that the South Korean tech giant introduced yesterday, including the new flip foldable smartphone dubbed as the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip. The company also unveiled its new wireless earbuds called the Samsung Galaxy Buds Plus at the Unpacked event.

Galaxy S20 Ultra Specs and Features

The Samsung Galaxy S20 Ultra is the higher-end variant of this year's flagship smartphones from the South Korean tech and electronics company. Unlike its other siblings, the camera configuration of the S20 Ultra comes with 10x Hybrid Optic Zoom and 100x Super Res Zoom. To expound this configuration, Samsung says, it went all out on the S20 Ultra.

It equipped the smartphone with a folded zoom lens, which has the same concept as the Huawei P30. The hole located at the back of the smartphone hits the prism that realigns the light from the phone to the sensor. Because of this, the S20 Ultra achieves the extra 4x zoom. Aside from these, the S20 Ultra features a whopping 108 MP wide primary shooter.

Samsung also claims that the Galaxy S20 can achieve a 10x lossless hybrid optic zoom by binning and sensor cropping. The South Korean tech giant also announced that the S20 Ultra with 16GB of Low-Power DD5 RAM is also available. The base model of the Galaxy S20 Ultra is a whopping 12 GB of RAM.

The Samsung Galaxy S20 Ultra also houses a 5,000 mAh battery pack and runs on a 120 Hz refresh rate. Pre-order for all Samsung Galaxy S20 series starts on Feb. 21, 2020. Meanwhile, those who pre-order will start receiving their units on Mar. 6, 2020.
