The tech industry is anticipating that Google would announce its next Android mobile operating system this year. Although the search engine giant has not said much about the Android 11, many are already anticipating the exciting features it would bring to Android smartphones and devices. One of these is the Share to Print feature, which could make printing pdfs and images very easy.
Android 11 Share to Print Feature
A new documentation was recently spotted by XDA Developers supporting the idea that Android 11 would have a feature called Share to Print. According to the publication, it would introduce a universal Print option to the share sheet of Android. Furthermore, the document reveals that the Print option only appears when sharing a PDF file or an image and would bring the user to the Android printing menu where printer names could be found.
In other words, the Share to Print feature on Android 11 will automatically convert or resize files as required by the printers available on the user's phone or device. For photo printers, the Share to Print Android 11 feature would send a full quality image in the right size. Meanwhile, traditional printers would receive a PDF converted image.
Possible Android 11 Features
Aside from the Share to Print feature in Android 11, there are several features earlier rumored to be introduced when the mobile OS rolls out. It includes the Nearby Sharing feature, which is the company's version of Apple AirDrop. Additionally, whispers online claim that Google would remove the 4 GB video recording limit set on smartphones with the arrival of Android 11.
A recent commit to the source code of AOSP also reveals that Android 11 would do some tweaks on the Airplane mode. This time, the device would not toggle off Bluetooth when the user switches the device to Airplane Mode. This could be handy, especially for those who prefer to listen to music using their wireless earbuds while in this mode.
Scoped Storage is also rumored to be introduced in Android 11. This feature would restrict access to the apps on the device. Aside from improved security, the Scoped Storage feature would help the user save battery.
Android 11 Release Date
Nothing is official yet about the Android 11 mobile platform. However, if we based on the release pattern of Google, it is possible that Android 11 might arrive sometime in Sept. of this year. Google will first release the beta version of Android 11, so it could be tested. When this happens, this is our ultimate hint that the arrival of the next Android OS is imminent.
