Football giants in Europe are now focused on targeted acquisitions for the summer, and one player that catches the eyes of several clubs is Borussia Dortmund winger Jadon Sancho. The 19-year-old British sensation is being sought by Real Madrid, Chelsea, and Liverpool but reports said Sancho's next destination points to Old Trafford.
Liverpool is the latest to express interest on Sancho, who has already chalked up 29 goals in a total of 84 appearances for Dortmund. In the current season, the young Brit has already accumulated an impressive stats - 14 goals and 15 assists so far in all competition.
Forbes said there is little doubt that Sancho will make the jump from Bundesliga by the end of the ongoing campaign. It's not clear, however, where the forward will want to play next but football in Spain and England appear to interest him.
Per the same report, the Anfield squad will make a bid on Sancho as the Premier League leaders "don't want to miss out on one of English football's hottest prospects."
Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp has already voiced out his interest in the British talent and declared in a recent interview that "We saw him ... we liked him."
The Reds are optimistic Sancho will be swayed to sign up on the strength of his existing deal with Nike, which also has an agreement with Liverpool. That hope was further bolstered by Sancho's friendship with a number of Liverpool players, the report said.
However, it would seem that all the clubs wooing Sancho now do work in vain. That is if the report by Metro will prove correct - that the Brit is returning to England for a chance to suit up with the Red Devils.
"Jadon Sancho is ready to snub Chelsea and Real Madrid to join Manchester United at the end of the season," the report claimed.
There was no mention of what attracted the youngster to United, but one reason could be the pay package that the team is readying for Sancho. The report said that if the Dortmund forward will end up wearing the Red Devils jersey by next season, he stands to collect a weekly pay of £200,000.
And while it looked like that United has made all the preparations to lure Sancho out of Bundesliga, it's not yet known if the English club is ready for the premium transfer fee that Dortmund will demand before signing the player's release papers.
According to Fox Sports, the selling price for Sancho will be no lower than £100 million, a giant leap from the £7 million paid by Dortmund when the winger was purchased from Manchester City in 2017.
